The gross domestic product (GDP) of Hubei Province stood at 3.72989 trillion yuan in the first three quarters of 2022, with a year-on-year increase of 4.7 percent based on comparable prices, local authorities said on October 25.
The respective added values of Hubei's primary, secondary and tertiary industries were 346.364 billion yuan, 1.551827 trillion yuan and 1.831699 trillion yuan, up 3.5 percent, 6.9 percent and 3.5 percent.
In the Jan.-Sept. period, Hubei’s total grain output recorded a year-on-year growth of 2.4 percent to 5.5785 million tonnes in summer harvest. The output of autumn grain remained stable.
Industrial production in the province maintained sound growth momentum in the first nine months. The added value of high-tech manufacturing sector registered an increase of 20.9 percent, 13.1 percentage points higher than that of industries above designated size.
Hubei’s investment in fixed assets (excluding farmers) rose 15.5 percent year on year over the same period. The total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to 1.508912 trillion yuan, ascending by 4.8 percent year on year. And the province's foreign trade totaled 469.09 billion yuan, soaring by 22.1 percent.(en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
