Ezhou News (Zhang Xi, All-media reporter) On December 30, the unveiling ceremony of the Ezhou National Defense Mobilization Office was held. Sun Bing, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of Ezhou, and Chen Ping, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Ezhou attended the ceremony and unveiled the office.
Ezhou National Defense Mobilization Office was established on the basis of the city’s Civil Air Defense Office. It was an important step for the municipal party committee and government to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and also a crucial link to strengthen the national defense mobilization system, improve the potential of national defense mobilization, and enhance the national defense mobilization capability. The office represents a specific action for Ezhou to implement the operational mechanism of national defense mobilization in the new era.
Yu Ke, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee of Ezhou and Executive Vice Mayor of Ezhou, presided over the unveiling ceremony. He pointed out that national defense mobilization constituted an important part of China’s President Xi Jinping's thinking on strengthening the military, a strategic measure to safeguard national security, stability and development, and a major institutional arrangement for reshaping the reform of the national defense mobilization leadership system. Improving national defense mobilization capability is of great and far-reaching significance, and will make new and greater contributions to cultivate Ezhou's national defense reserve forces and facilitate high-quality economic and social development. Municipal leaders and cadres at all levels shall always uphold the party's leadership of the armed forces, adhere to the principle of coordinated economic development and national defense, actively promote the reform and progress of national defense mobilization, focus on the key responsibility and key tasks, comprehensively improve the quality and efficiency of the national defense mobilization and the reserve force building, and strive to build a new pattern of national defense mobilization as led by the party, guided by the needs of the military, overall planned and coordinated by the National Defense Mobilization Commission, implemented by the government according to law, and extensively participated by all. It is of vital significance to make all efforts to forge the national defense reserve force into a crack troop that resolutely follows the command of the party, is absolutely loyal and reliable, and faithfully fulfills its mission.
